No Exit begins their 17th concert season with a variety of works that run the sonic gamut….. altogether captivating, delightful, horrifying and thought-provoking. No Exit’s violist James Rhodes will perform selections from Garth Knox’s Viola Spaces, an engaging exploration of techniques for the instrument. The ensemble will also perform composer/pianist Geoffrey Burleson’s newly reimagined version of his experimental Latin jazz-tinged Cryptic Locomotion. After days of rain, construction fills the air delves deep into June Young Will Kim’s utterly engrossing and tactile sound world.

The program will culminate with a brand-new world premiere work by composer Andrew Rindfleisch, American Descent, which will serve as a passionate rumination on our present time in America. Written for an expanded ensemble, No Exit will be joined by guest artists Amy Advocat - clarinet/bass clarinet, John Faieta - trombone, Geoffrey Burleson - piano, Matthew Sharrock - percussion, Steve Sang Kyun Koh - violin and David Russell - cello.
